Today the New Buccaneer and Capt. Smith went on the 8 hour offshore trip. This was the last trip using the exempted red snapper permit so we will not have any more trips bringing in red snapper until June 1. The reason is this: we are allocated a specific number of tags for red snapper in 2015 and we can catch those fish any time we choose. However, if we use too many tags before June 1 we may not have sufficient tags to fish all of the announced season (whenever it is announced). 184 red snapper 9 atlantic sharpnose shark
